Push me on a swing, feel the air through my hair...

When the weather turned warm a couple of weeks ago, I took a walk in the park with my son. He swung on a swing set for the first time. The same swing set that I played on when I was young. It hit me as I left the park that long ago, as a child, I would have never imagined that I would be here in the same place playing with my own son.

It was such a beautiful day to wax sentimental. It took us a long time to get this sweet baby boy and it has been nice, for a time, to forget how much pain I went through while I waited for my prayers to be answered. For now though, I'm going to try and remember enough to love him enough.

Buddy was in heaven swinging on that swing. I'm attaching a short video of the experience. Please try and ignore my voice on the video. And if you must know, I did indeed, "get his feet."

  1. He is so cute! Thanks for posting pictures so we can watch him grow up from afar. Aren't they so worth the wait?

  2. Too cute for words! I'm glad you are enjoying him so much. They grow so fast and turn into snarling teens! hahahaha Robby will NEVER be a snarling teen, I'm sure. And, just so you know, I really did adore being a mother to teens. Robby will be there in what seems a blink of the eye.

  3. He is so stinkin' cute! And I love the hat. I'm hoping now that the weather is sort of getting better we will get to see each other more and get the boys together!
