A Trip Out

I decided to take the kids to Scheels this last week (I love stores with a ton of square footage). Here's a little of our experience.

The Cast:
Jellybean. Every time she sees me cleaning she asks if someone is coming over:
Why no, my daughter doesn't have a shadow, why do you ask?
Buddy. He's been delighting me daily with his new found love of potty humor.
He's not a fan of the camera lately, but he will give you a "bum kiss" if you ask for one. Ah, the joys of boys.
We rode this:
Turns out that there is absolutely no line on weekdays. Awesome.
And one last photo-op:

My Favorite

When D and I had been dating a while we started saying the phrase, "you're my favorite," to each other. We said it a lot, even sending messages to each other that stated: To My Favorite. When we became a family, I started having to qualify that statement.  Buddy is my favorite little Big boy. Jellybean is my favorite little girl. I guess you can't play favorites anymore when you're the Mom.
So, now I have my three very favorite people.  I feel so overwhelmed and amazingly blessed by these three people in my life.
Notice Jellybean starting to smile with her mouth full of chocolate milk.
I'm almost at a loss to describe that feeling I get when I look at that picture. I'm just so full of joy knowing that they are mine. If I had to describe what my "Happy Song" is, that would be it.

Have a Happy Day!

Stepping Out For Fro Yo

I remember my parents taking myself and my siblings to a frozen yogurt place called Yozen Frogurt.  I thought the name was terribly clever at the time.  Frozen yogurt seemed like a really special treat.  My favorite flavor then and now? Chocolate with gummy bears.
Am I crazy or is frozen yogurt majorly back in? I've seen frozen yogurt places popping up everywhere.  Because I love, love it, I made it a habit to treat my kids every once in a while.  When I discovered Red Mango, I started treating myself and my kids a little more often.  It's all natural, so I can justify eating it for lunch. It's delicious. I think I've become an addict.
I don't get chocolate with gummy bears, but I do get the mixed berry parfait.  My little ones like the original flavor with berries and mochi.  We have a good time of it as you can see.
I suggest stepping out and treating yourself (and your little ones) to your favorite fro yo.
