Pizza Experiment

Occasionally, I try to get a bit more creative at dinner time. Last week, I thought it might be fun for the kids to do their own mini pizzas.
Mmmm, broccoli... Jellybean loves her veggies.
The verdict: The idea was fun....The kids really got into putting their own toppings on. Unfortunately, Pillsbury pizza dough is terrible and Boboli pizza sauce is also terrible. Next time, I'm going to find a pizza crust recipe that actually tastes good and make my own sauce. Who would have thought that cutting corners would be such a bad idea?

Sometimes it is just nice to try something new, even if it ends up tasting pretty disgusting.

Have a Happy Day!

  1. Whenever we make pizza at home, we just use french bread for the crust and regular spaghetti sauce. I never have good luck making bread from scratch. We also put garlic butter spread on the french bread first with a little bit of cheese, then broil it just until the cheese melts - it keeps the bread from getting soggy with the sauce and toppings. After you put on sauce and the rest of your toppings, bake for 10-15 minutes. Super easy.
