Quirkiness

In an extreme departure from the regular Bunkerville programing, I've decided to humor Emily and do something that seems terribly appropriate for me: List my quirks. I say it's especially appropriate because, at one point in my life, a few of my friends actually nicknamed me "Quirk" for reasons I don't need to expand on.
So, for the purpose of this exercise, the following must be stated:

Definition of quirk: n. 1. A peculiarity of behavior; an idiosyncrasy: 2. An unpredictable or unaccountable act or event; a vagary: a quirk of fate.
Rules: Link the Person who Tagged you. Mention rules on your blog. Tell about 6 quirks of yours. Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same.

Now on with the Quirkiness!

1. I have never managed to master the skill of whispering. Much to D's embarrassment and despite how hard I try, my "whisper" still remains audible to those standing within 5 yards of me. I have a feeling this will also embarrass my son once he hits the teenage years.
2. I love collecting hats and my collection is becoming quite large, but I don't find occasion to wear them.

3. I'm passionate about tennis, but much to my despair, I remain terrible at it.

4. Unlike most couples, I'm the one in this relationship that is 100% more likely to rent, and thoroughly enjoy, a martial arts film.

5. Despite how much I love to cook and over D's objections, I still consider a bowl of elbow macaroni in tomato juice (aka Spiddle Diddles) an appropriate meal. Sometim
es I spice the juice up with a little basil, but only if I'm feeling upscale that day.

6. I love to sing to my son and my upbringing in classical music was beyond reproach, yet for some reason, Robbie is growing up on a steady diet of Jackson 5 and Queen's Greatest Hits
.

I hope you all enjoyed a sampling of my quirks. Now, if you happen to read this, I'm tagging Sylvia, Jill, Brekke, Carolyn, Lori and Jessica/Spencer to expand on their own brand of quirkiness. Thus concludes this segment of MJ's Quirks.

Now back to our regular programming:

Cute Robbie!
Do we see crawling in the near future??

  1. Hooray! Thanks Marcie. That post provided some much needed entertainment for Adam and me.

  2. I just saw this and snorted Diet Coke onto my computer screen. I can't truly compete with the original Quirk, but I'll certainly give it my best effort.
